I’m always taken back by how nonchalantly people come by racism and that ugly fucking word.
A few years ago I was in Nashville for a funeral. Then Predators FWD Joel Ward picked us up at the airport and took us to dinner. After we ordered, a young woman (late teens) came up to our table and asked if Joel was ‘that black hockey player’. He said he was, kindly.
“Wow, you’re really good looking for a N****.”
“And there we go boys!’ Wardo laughed. “Welcome to the south!”
I told her to fuck off. Todd (who was with us) called her a bag of trash. Wardo laughed.
He went on to say he’s used to it and ‘fuck, it’s the South boys. Every day.’
This happened in Alabama. I suspect these sterling little Nazi’s will be making honor roll if the school has anything to do with it.
Pro Tip: If you’re a white supremacist, stay away from camera phones. No Bueno.
