The Leafs beat the Jets 2-1 in a SO last night, extending their lead in the ‘Great White North Division’ to 4 pts over the Jets and Oilers.
Jack Campbell was a fucking stud. Dermott scored early and Spezza won it in the shootout, but Auston Matthews personalized the in-game experience after telling the ref he was ‘Fucking Horrible’ after a non-call.

Hot mics and NHL refs have had a tough start to the NHL season.
If they aren’t getting fired for shit, they’ve said, NHL referees are getting verbally abused and receipts are incredible.
Refs can give it back too…Frederick L’Ecuyer went to announce a call against Columbus’s Ryan Murray to make sure we all knew he was sick of Ryan’s chirping.

It’s part of the game we love and say what we like about pandemic sports, but this is the kind of content that relates to rec league warriors across this great country. We can’t physically attend games so being able to hear players and refs CLEARLY tell each other how shit they are is a nice touch.
