Video: Boston Dynamic Robots Are Now Doing Parkour And It’s Terrifying
So, these videos screw with my brain. Everything I know about robotics due says none of this is real or possible but these robots are doing some KILLER parkour and I’m just imagining them with machine guns.
It doesn’t mean I’m not a huge fan of perception-bending robotic mechanics. I’m fully on board with welcoming the end of human labor as we know it.
If these dicks can box jump like two-legged mechanical leopards, they can mow the shit out of my lawn, shovel the driveway at 5 am on a frosty February morning. I’d send these things into every disagreement with every neighbor while sipping pineapple Bubly water by the pool I don’t have.
Don’t let your mind go straight to these robots being weapons of war. Think about all the menial shit they’ll be able to tackle that you fucking HATE doing.
It’s a nicer way to welcome our new overlords.
