Source  –  Foreign Affairs Minister Chrystia Freeland announced Monday that four members of Russia’s diplomatic staff working at the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Canada and at the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Montreal are being removed from Canada, and three applications for additional staff are being denied.

“The four have been identified as intelligence officers or individuals who have used their diplomatic status to undermine Canada’s security or interfere in our democracy,” Freeland said in a statement announcing the move.

Freeland said the move is in “solidarity” with the United Kingdom over the March 4 nerve agent attack in Salisbury on former double agent Sergei Skripal and his daughter, both of whom remain in hospital in critical condition.

In total, 21 countries — including the U.K., U.S., Germany and France — have expelled 135 Russian diplomats since the attack.

The Russian government has repeatedly denied any involvement.

The best thing Trudeau has done since throwing himself down the stairs in an acting video.

I’m dying to know what Russia has been up to in Canada to piss off the happiest nation on earth.  Canadians are known as the people who order steak, and when they bring us chicken we eat it anyway.  We allow pretty much anyone with a heartbeat and a sad story into the country and are known as the nation that not only turns the other cheek but leads with our chins after getting slapped.

Russia’s operatives in Canada were apparently setting up a troll shop here but that’s all we know.  To what end I’m not sure as Canada’s 45-year-old subamarine fleet (four subs) and 12 frigates are all older than me.  We have a few speedboats that Canada uses to protect its porous borders and that’s pretty much it.

At the very least these expulsions make it look like Trudeau gives a shit.  I just hope they don’t let him talk about it.
