Franky Zapata is a French inventor and my new favourite human being. Seriously, I’m getting emotional over here. It’s so good!

You hear “Inventor flies over the English channel on a hoverboard” and you think, “Hmm, sounds pretty cool, I’ll have a look.” Then you see this jet-propelled mad scientist absolutely blast away from the French coast and a big smile appears on your face. This isn’t some rickety contraption, oh no, it’s a rock steady human missile!

Even with his absolutely massive minerals weighing him down Franky managed to cross the 34 km channel in 25 minutes. Amazing.
