Springer tied the game with a 470-foot home run to tie the Braves in the bottom of the seventh, 4 innings after going oppo for his first dong as a member of the Blue Jays.
Springer finished 2 for 5 with two dingers and 3 RBI’s but it was his game-tying 7th inning 470-foot piss missile that cleared a school and a parking lot that we’re all talking about today.
We’re not talking about Grichuk’s walk-off single or Alejandro Kirk’s leg injury. We’re not yammering about the Jays being above .500 for the first time this year or their magic bullpen. We’re talking about the Blue Jays’ $150 million dollar man living up to the investment carrying the team 2 games into his career as a Blue Jay and how complete this lineup is with a leadoff guy who hits bombs in his sleep.
