Video: Hey, @BarriePolice, We’re Going To Make This Abusive Cop, Famous

Feb 5, 2021

We don’t have any context to this video, but this is BRUTAL.  Unless this 20-year-old kid screaming for his life just finished sexually assaulting someone, or punching an old lady in the face, there’s no fucking explanation for this.

(Warning – Graphic)
I want his name, so if you know who this is, leave it in the comment section or hit me up at [email protected]. Please.

Source: Barrie police say they have seen the video of a downtown arrest that is making the rounds on social media tonight and shows a physical interaction between an officer and a man.

The incident, which occurred on Dunlop Street East near Owen Street around 3:30 p.m., shows a Barrie police officer on top of a man who at one point tells bystanders that he’s 20 years old.

Barrie police communications co-ordinator Peter Leon told BarrieToday Thursday night that the service has seen video and is reviewing it before making any further comments.

“Obviously, there was something that precipitated the incident on the video and we want to find out just what happened,” Leon said. “We are currently looking into this.”

The video obtained by BarrieToday does not show what led up to the arrest, which happened in front of Meridian Place.

However, Kelly Platt, who lives downtown, told BarrieToday she heard loud screaming coming from Dunlop Street and went to take a look.

“You hear yelling sometimes downtown and so I wasn’t overly concerned about it, but this was loud and there were people around,” said Platt. “I saw the guy get slammed to the ground and that’s when I started recording. I heard his head hit the pavement.”

Platt said the incident initially started down the street when the man “blew through a red light at Five Points on his skateboard.”

Platt’s husband, who was working downtown, told her the young man received a ticket and began skateboarding again eastbound on Dunlop Street.

For Skateboarding?  Through a red light?  This useless cop had to physically abuse a skateboarding kid for skateboarding after getting a ticket for skateboarding through a red light?

Really hot stuff, laying on and abusing this young man while making it physically impossible to put his hands behind his back.  It’s like beating your kids for not apologizing after taping their mouths shut.

Let’s name this prick, so he can feel the same anxiety and fear he lives for.

AHH. Good news.  His peers are ‘looking into this’.
This isn’t policing. It’s a power trip. It’s an embarrassing look at how some cops in an overwhelmingly white, small-town get to physically abuse members of the community for ‘shits and giggles’.
All while maskless.
Barrie’s police force is like any other police force, only whiter. I have a friend who used to be a cop in Barrie. He said their membership had a few ‘dumber cops’ who couldn’t get gigs in big cities, so they work the mean streets of cottage country looking for jaywalkers to beat around the face with stun guns.
This dumb shit couldn’t even do that properly, losing his taser in the process.
That’s a big man right there. Sitting on top of a kid begging for his life while beating the shit out of him, must have been a real rush. The kind you can only get when you get when some poor bastard fears for his very life.
This isn’t police work. He’s a heavily armed cop who’s woefully fucking inept at his job. That’s why some cops abuse people. They’re so scared of doing their job, they act like fucking tools to cover up their own ineptitude.
It’s pretty simple.
So let’s make this tough guy, famous. If you know ‘Officer Tough Guy’, or know his name, let me know.
We’ll take it from here.

PS: I love our men and women in uniform, but cops like this are an ongoing embarrassment to the profession.
