Video: I’m Glad Someone Finally Said It – What Doug Ford Has Done To Ontarians During The Pandemic ‘Amounts To A Dereliction Of Duty’

Yesterday we had Liberal Beaches-East York MP Nate Erskine Smith on the DBS.
He was the first big-time federal politician to come on the program, and he’s a member of the Trudeau government’s caucus, so we had some questions.
We covered,
- the federal response and whose fault it is that we suck at vaccinating Canadians.
- how Trudeau gambled and lost on ALOT of vaccine contracts
- maybe we should stop eating meat if we want to prevent pandemics
- Doug Ford’s absolute dereliction of duty choosing the economy over science, which grabbed this guy’s attention
(Video is cued up)
I’m glad Nate said it. I wasn’t looking for sound bites, just the non-bias opinion of an Ontarian (check his voting record) who has access to the information we don’t.
- Doug didn’t listen to science or experts in his inner circle.
- Doug politicized the process by willingly choosing the economy over lives in the face of irrefutable modeling/science.
- Doug is trying to close legal loopholes so he and his admin aren’t accountable for killing your grandparents or destroying your business.
There has to be accountability after we move out of this bullshit. There needs to be a nonpartisan investigation into EVERYTHING related to WHY Doug Ford, Christine Elliot, Irene DeVilla, chose the economy over you and me. I want to see email communications, minutes from cabinet meetings, full depositions from every decision-maker responsible for this shit.
The only way that happens is if you vote him out. Nate was right, say what you like about Kathleen Wynne, but your friends and family wouldn’t be dying if a liberal gov’t was still at the helm in Ontario.

PS: We’d be further ahead if my asshole was the premier of Ontario.
