Video: If I’ve Said It Once I’ve Said It 1000 Times, ALWAYS Cremate The Right Body.
Source – The board responsible for overseeing funeral directors in Nova Scotia has revoked the licence of one man for his role in a mix-up at an Annapolis Valley funeral home that had a woman mistakenly cremated and another embalmed and presented to the wrong family.
David Farmer, of Serenity Funeral Home and Crematorium in Berwick will no longer be allowed to work as a funeral director or embalmer, according to a ruling released Friday by the Nova Scotia Board of Registration of Embalmers and Funeral Directors.
The provincial government’s Registrar of Funeral Services also announced it will suspend the business from doing cremations for 30 days, starting April 1. It will still be able to hold funerals during that time.
Tragic. It’s literally the only job someone has at a funeral home. Cremate/embalm the right body. Open casket funerals are hard to do with ashes and it’s impossible to put makeup on an urn and make it look human, not that I’ve tried.
On the bright side, Canada looks like a country with relatively no issues when this is a major headline nationwide. While America continues to spiral out of control and Trump firing the Secretary Of State on Twitter this morning, Canadians are aghast at the news funeral homes are burning the wrong bodies.
God, I love this country.
