Video: Joe Bowen Calling Mitch Marner’s Shorthanded Penalty Shot Is A Small Taste Of Heaven @BonsieTweets #LeafsForever

Earlier yesterday, I published an article of 34 reasons why I felt the Leafs stood a puncher’s chance against the Bruins. A complete homer of an article from the bottom of my heart. I bleed blue, and I’m not worried if you’re from the west coast and don’t much care for it. Well, it turns out I hit on the majority of my reasons, and it’s only game one. It is only game one, and Leafs Nation needs to be reminded of this.

After the game, Marchand mentioned the team didn’t take the Leafs seriously enough, and his coach compared Mitch Marner to Wayne Gretzky. Sounds like the Leafs are leading the mental game, and it’s a small win but hey, it feels good.

Do you know what else feels good? Hearing Joe Bowen call Maple Leafs franchise history.

Ladies and gentlemen, we bring to you the first ever shorthanded penalty shot playoff goal in Toronto Maple Leafs history. Nottttttaaaa big deeeeeal.

Did you think I would just tease with the one call? Not a chance, here’s the other 3 goals from the LEGEND himself!

Let’s Go TO!!!!!
