Video: Kevin Pillar Addressed The Media Today And You Can Add Me To The Pillar Stan List

“I know how tough that can be on someone who feels responsible for someone getting injured… He needs to continue to be confident and believe in himself.” -Kevin Pillar on Jacob Webb hitting him in the face pic.twitter.com/SgS2fGDdaN

One day, after a 94 mph piss missile from Jake Webb basically shattered Kevin Pillar’s nose, he sat in front of the media, and said ‘I feel good’ and he’s more worried about the guy who threw the pitch.
Nothing but selflessness after some critical thought from one of the nicest men to ever play Major League Baseball, Kevin Andrew Pillar.

I’m happy Kevin Pillar is ok but this “I feel good” was laugh out loud funny given how his face currently looks pic.twitter.com/mnvoBBcLQq

Let’s also recognize how deliberately tough Pillar has been since the fucking second he was drilled. He rolled around for a few seconds then seemed to calm himself down before getting up and making his way to the clubhouse with ‘multiple nasal fractures’. His schnozz is so fucked right now that he has to wait at least a week for the swelling in his face to go down before he can have that thing put back together.
The way he can handle pain is impressive but the absolute stone-cold grace and concern Kevin Pillar showed for Jacob Webb is the kind of Stoic Power that not many in pro sports possess.
To forgive.
He then went on to say: ‘My heart’s broken because this team is hurting right now because his expectations aren’t about him. His second biggest concern is how the negativity around his injury might affect the rest of the team.
‘My face will heal but the team’s hurting right now.’ Are you serious? Who talks like that??

Kevin Pillar. Bad MF, that’s who. I’m a Pillar Stan now. I don’t care that he’ll sometimes swing at a balk. Kevin Pillar is inevitable.
