AAANNNDDD, the loseriffic media war in Canada is BACK!

CityNews (Rogers) – CityNews announced today extensive and in-depth plans for coverage across all platforms of the legacy of Queen Elizabeth II, national events and ceremonies commemorating her life, the transition to the reign of King Charles III, and live coverage of the Queen’s funeral.

Acting as a special correspondent to CityNews, renowned Canadian journalist Lisa LaFlamme will be in London leading the CityNews coverage. She will provide daily reporting for all newscasts on television and radio as well as make regular appearances on Breakfast Television

“The Queen is the only monarch most of us have ever known. Rogers hiring Lisa to cover the Queen’s remembrance live from London reminds me of the time I hired an announcer to replace a co-host of mine.

I didn’t care about how she performed, nor did I care about ratings or if this person could do the job. It was purely a spite hire to piss off the guy we fired.

That’s what this is. For Lisa too. It’s a HUGE fuck you to Bell.

Rogers is saying “Fuck Bell” by showing their non-coverage up with Lisa Laflamme.

Lisa is saying “Fuck Bell,” publicly embracing the opportunity to do what she loves without Bell’s help.

This comes on the heels of Bell fucking with Rogers after the Canada-wide Rogers outage this summer.

I don’t know about you, but I love it when the only two media companies in Canada stunt each other’s incompetence while stealing from Canadians with their Telco monopoly.

It’s hard to take Rogers’ power move with Lisa seriously when they still work hand in hand with Bell and their lobbyists to keep bending over Canadians with turning.

I dig the deception, though. Bell and Rogers publicly punch each other while working privately to keep you in servitude.

But good for Lisa. She wins. Again.
