Louis C.K. made an unannounced appearance at the Comedy Cellar on Sunday night, according to the club’s owner, performing for apparently the first time since he admitted last year to sexual misconduct with women in the comedy world.

He appeared around 11 p.m., said Noam Dworman, the owner of the Cellar, the Greenwich Village club with a long tradition of surprise appearances by famous comedians. Dressed in a black V-neck T-shirt and gray pants, he did a 15-minute set that touched on what Mr. Dworman called “typical Louis C.K. stuff” — racism, waitresses’ tips, parades. “It sounded just like he was trying to work out some new material, almost like any time of the last 10 years he would come in at the beginning of a new act.”

Mo Amer, another comic who was on the bill Sunday, said that for the crowd, “it was like a wow moment.” He, too, said he had no idea that Louis C.K. would return that night but that his material was “like classic Louis, really really good.”

If there was one guy I was interested to see post #MeTOO not so mutual jerking off in front of strange women issue, it was Louis CK.

Louis had the ability to take a socially offside topic and use it to entertain while questioning the literal meaning of his bit.

SNL’s monologue about how much pedophiles love kids was so fucking alarming to me and so well done I was amazed.  He didn’t condone it but marveled at how anyone can love anything enough to risk jail, reputation, and death because of their sickness.  “You must really, really, really like kids’.

His observational cynicism and timing made other warped, jaded, middle-aged folks feel normal.

Then he started to jerk off on and in front of women unannounced.  Sick, deviant, nonchalant yanking.  It happened numerous times, he copped to it then went away:

I want to address the stories told to The New York Times by five women named Abby, Rebecca, Dana, Julia who felt able to name themselves and one who did not.

These stories are true. At the time, I said to myself that what I did was O.K. because I never showed a woman my dick without asking first, which is also true. But what I learned later in life, too late, is that when you have power over another person, asking them to look at your dick isn’t a question.

I’ve brought pain to my family, my friends, my children and their mother.

I have spent my long and lucky career talking and saying anything I want. I will now step back and take a long time to listen. Thank you for reading.

I guess he’s done listening.

We’ve had a million stories about (mostly) men doing unspeakable things too, and in front of women.  Captains of industry like Weinstein and Moonves, untouchable celebrities like Cosby, Spacey, Affleck.

We have a list 138 strong compiled Time magazine including Asia Argento corking a 17-year-old young man who lived my teenage dream and was paid 380 k for it.

What don’t we have? Success stories where the offender actually learned something, came back and didn’t have to serve a life sentence.  Some of these fuck wads deserve a life sentence for the damage they’ve caused.  I think it’s fair to assume in the world of being sexually inappropriate, whipping your dick out is nowhere near the same category as raping women.

Being sexually inappropriate is a massive umbrella that covers everything from cat whistling to physical assault.  Much like burns, there are degrees of assault that should be dealt with accordingly.  You don’t do skin grafts for a first degree burn like you can’t condemn a guy for life for whipping it out like you do for a serial rapist.

So where does that leave Louis CK?  Wherever he wants.  People will judge him for his behavior going forward and if he learns to be accountable for past behaviors by championing respect for women publically and privately.  Period.  Stop.

Fans will decide if he’s invited back into their universe.  All he can do is what he does and be genuine in his efforts not to repeat his nonconsensual fapping adventures.

I will say this, Louis, really, liked showing women his dick.  Like he LOOOVED showing women his dick.  It was his favorite thing.  There’s no worse life than being labeled a sexual predator…or a child molester.

So does Louis CK deserve an opportunity to redeem himself?  I think so.  If he’s genuinely learned from his mistakes, Louis should use this opportunity to stand against shit like that because he means it.

Like I also think most guys that tweet shit like this is trying to impress people with their socially aware excellence.

I’d be interested in the skeletons in Tyler’s closet.  If a sexist or racist joke crossed his lips or if he’s ever been untoward with a woman.  Most over judgmental people have.  And telling someone to eat shit is cyberbullying Tyler.  Tisk Tisk.

PS.  The first person to call me an ‘enabler’ for providing a common sense approach to Louis CK returning to the stage…You are the worst, I will chastise you endlessly here and no one likes you.

As you were.
