Source: The 28-year-old center-fielder was placed on the 10-day IL Friday with a ruptured testicle after hitting himself with a foul ball in the third inning of Thursday’s 8-7 loss to the Astros. Haniger was removed for a pinch-hitter in the seventh inning.
“He took a pretty hard shot,” Mariners manager Scott Servais said after the game. “We’ll find out more once we get those tests back.”

The. Absolute. Worst. Pain. You could possibly imagine. A slight graze and I’m down for the count, sick to my stomach for at least an hour. These shots are the epitome of agony.
