Are you kidding me? That should be the retirement moment for Zedeno Chara.

Connor’s the best player in the NHL by a long shot, but he plays for the Oilers, so he’ll deserve better for the next seven years.

Seems like a shame he plays for a Candian team in the Western Conference, and I think it’s bad for the game in some respects to have a generational player in a market like that from hockey fans perspective.

I want the Oilers to be better.  I know they’ve only played two games, but he’s in his fourth year in Edmonton, and I’m starting to wonder if the NHL is beginning to think the same thing.

McDavid is appointment watching and the only reason I ordered the ‘Center Ice Package’ and I’m probably not alone but it’s no fun watching the best player in the world play with a bunch of plugs.  Free McDavid or trade for a better goaltender and give the kid something to work with.  It’s fun watching him do the unthinkable, but it’s starting to look like Michael Jordan playing pick up with a bunch of 3rd graders.
