Video: Our John McAfee Interview Is So Weird To Listen To Now That He’s Dead

Old pods are always weird when someone in the pod dies.
I didn’t get John Mcfee but no one did. That doesn’t mean we can’t appreciate the man’s genius.
The virus software magnate/pirate was found hanged in a Barcelona jail days after his extradition to the US was approved. He’d been there for months and I guess he’d had enough.
R. I. P LEGEND YOU WERE A TRUE INTERNET PIONEER A GREAT PROGRAMMER AND CODER

We interviewed John back in 2020 and he was a trip. He answered every question we had, took time to impart wisdom, AND scared the shit out of us by showing us some of his weaponry. Staged heart attacks, legal issues, and how to effectively run from the law, John covered some of the sordid details of his insane existence. From running a town (and a possible murder rap) in Belize to running from the FBI, and watching his mind work in real-time was fucking wild.
The video has disappeared from YouTube somehow but the audio still exists.
Today we bring back an interview @ItsDeanBlundell did with @officialmcafee in March of 2020:
The boys dive deep into COVID, being on the run, the government coming after him for more than his money and much more. Our video was censored from YouTube

Maybe the most profound thing John ever said was about power and what human emotions need power. Love and kindness flow naturally, greed and anger don’t – they crave power. Those words were philosophically empowering and true …some of the truest.
That was John’s thing, though. He acted like a libertarian pirate but he really craved the things he couldn’t have or never got in return because of the lifestyle he chose.

If John took his own life, I get that. He was 75 and about to get boned by the US government for mocking them for the past 10 years while on permanent vacation. He didn’t want to stick around for that.
I don’t blame him.
RIP fella.
