Video: Parents Fight Ref On The Ice At Kids Hockey Tournament In A) Canada

This just happened in #Lethbridge tonight. From what I’ve been told it was a 10 year old 3 on 3 tournament where a player slashed a ref. My source tells me the ref responded in a physical way (some are saying self defence) & this happened. Reaching out to organizer for more info pic.twitter.com/mlsZs8nNuE

The only thing more Candian than hockey is a group of hockey dad’s fighting the ref. Fighting on the ice is new. Usually, you meet ’em at the car.
Todd William Cross Child, a 36-year-old Lethbridge resident, is facing two counts of assault and has been released on a promise to appear in court Oct. 9. Robert Farrell Creighton, a 55-year-old resident of Standoff, Alta., was previously charged with assault and will appear in court the same day.
I was a hockey dad for about 7 years. I swore at a ref once for calling one of our kids an N***** in Bowmanville. He deserved it. I also followed him out to his car and threatened to choke his fat white ass to death but again, he deserved it.
Kids sports are like meth for some parents. One second they’re tying their kid’s skates after work in a suit and tie, the next second their chasing a ref around a rink for being a ref.
If the story is true and the ref pushed a kid for slashing him twice, good for stripes. The little shit should have been bull hooked on the way to the bench and banned for life
The Dad’s should be banned for life or sent to Quebec to take part in an LNAH exhibition game with the real men. Seems like it would separate the wheat from the chaff.
