Any New England Patriots fan who woke up Monday morning and expected Bill Belichick to have a similar free agency to what he did in 2021, your expectations were way too high. 

As expected the New England Patriots had a quiet day-one of the legal tampering period. For Pats Nation it was a more normal start to free agency. The Patriots went crazy in 2021 signing big ticket free agents: Matthew Judon, Hunter Henry, Jonnu Smith, Nelson Agholor, Kendrick bourne, and Jalen Mills. The Patriots were also able to acquire some much needed depth help, and re-signed captains David Andrews and James White.
