Video: Racist Toronto Priest Put On Leave After Praising Indigenous Residential Schools For ‘All The Good’ They Did

We should probably start getting used to the idea that Canada is a genocide state.
We should also probably start thinking about winding down Catholicism in Canada after this comment from Owen Keenan, a priest from a Catholic church in Mississauga.

‘All the good’?
I did a ton of reading this morning on Residential Schools in Canada. It was equal parts depressing, eye-opening, and embarrassing. As a Canadian who was educated in Canada, residential schools were never part of the curriculum.
Like most Canadians, we were told Canada’s first people welcomed French, Spanish and British honkeys with a massive feast where they all got drunk and traded fur for gold and everyone was happy.
Not true.
In 1894 Canada made an amendment to the poorly named ‘Indian Act’ that made residential schools MANDATORY for all indigenous children. Over the next 100 years, 160 residential schools were built and used to ‘re-educate’ these indigenous kids.
The goal was NEVER to re-educate; it was to wipe out all indigenous culture by raping and murdering the babies of indigenous Canadians for over a fucking century.
If you don’t believe me, how about the men who started the residential school system:
(Canadian Indigenous Peoples Atlas)
In the words of Duncan Campbell Scott: ‘Our objective is to continue until there is not a single Indian in Canada that has not been absorbed into the body politic and there is no Indian question, and no Indian department.”
Nicholas Flood, the architect of the residential school system, wanted to “catch him (the Indian child) very young” and that’s what he did, 100,000 times over.
Indigenous kids weren’t sent to indigenous schools to be educated in the ways of the church. They we sent there to die and if they managed to make it to adulthood, it was fucking miracle.
In 1798 captain Watkin Tench indicates that the first fleet carried bottles of smallpox on First Fleet. Indigenous Nations resisting the settlers First Fleet were intentionally infected in 1798 with smallpox. During the second wave, (the British infected indigenous settlements across Canada twice) 90-95% percent of Canada’s Indigenous population was wiped out.
In 1909, Dr P Bryce was asked to assess the residential school system and found that ALL residential schools intentionally gave little or no medical care to kids at residential schools in favour of death. He was immediately fired and told he wasn’t needed anymore when he published A Story Of National Crime – An Appeal For Justice.
In the report, he said the same thing we’re saying 100 years later: Residential schools are nothing more than concentration camps run by the Gov’t of Canada and the Catholic Church.
100 years. A century ago we were ringing the bell of murder, rape and serial abuse yet we as a country actively looked away and covered it up.
That’s why Monsignor Owen Keenan’s comments so fucking gross and hurtful (he was put on leave today which means they’ll probably transfer him to a church that needs a new asshole).
Last week two Catholic churches were burned to the ground in BC. While I don’t condone arson, I hope whoever lit the fuse truly enjoyed every second of it.
The Catholic Church is nothing more than a criminal enterprise that exists to rape kids or protect their employees who do.
