If you spent the past 48 hours calling Ron MacLean a racist, watch this and STFU.

Ron being called racist for what happened the other night is ridiculous. He not only apologized for Don on TV, but he also doubled down on Twitter because he’s doing the right thing.
I have worked with Don for 30 years, and we both love hockey. But last night, I know we failed you. I see hockey as part of what unites us. I have the honour of travelling across our country to celebrate Canada’s game, and our diversity is one of our country’s greatest strengths.

Don Cherry’s latest rant against immigrants is tough to watch and Canadians are calling for him to be fired CBC pic.twitter.com/6JnEFvJXES

Ron’s face was outfuckingstanding btw.
Ron sat stunned and did his job while Don had his brain fart. I know Ron, and the Ron I know is a kind, careful caring professional without racial bifurcation. He proved it again by apologizing without a script, speaking from the heart for something he didn’t do. If there’s a Coach’s Corner next week, it’ll be the most scrutinized event in hockey history, so count me in for the evening because there’s a more than 10% chance Don going rogue blaming his meds and picks up where he left off.
That’s just great TV.
