I never understood the innate need some gearheads have to light ’em up as Terry did. Maybe it’s from my childhood.
When I was growing up, Jimmy Blundell always said the same thing when losers peeled away from a red light or stop sign in his presence.
“Do you know why that man did that, son?” my dad queried in a teachable tone.
‘Because he likes going fast?” I replied, staring at my ice cream cone.
“No, son. It’s because he has a small penis.”
I was 5.
Sage words that I passed along to my kids when they’d see a Donzi scream by us at the cottage or a Subaru with an after-market muffler interrupt a conversation IN our house from two blocks away.
Sometimes, God pays debts without money, and Terry took one for the team today.
