Video: Topless Streaker Interrupted Avril Lavigne’s Appearance At the Juno’s. Boobs.

Mar 14, 2023

I didn’t know the Juno Awards happened last night, and I’m not trying to be an asshole.

NIckleback was inducted into the Juno HOF, Ryan Reynolds showed up, and Connor McDavid made an appearance (the Juno’s were in Edmonton).

But the only thing anyone is talking about this morning is the topless activist, who Avril Lavigne called a “bitch” after telling her to get off the stage.

Right on.

I guess.

I dunno.

I don’t really care about the Juno’s or topless streakers or Avril Lavigne not being so “punk” anymore.

This morning’s narratives range from “she’s a sellout and hates the green belt and indigenous people” to “does she still have Lyme disease?”

My biggest takeaway? Nickelback is somehow Connor McDavid’s favorite band.

No shame in liking “The Back.”  I turn up “Photograph” whenever I hear it, but Connor is younger than the band and they are universally hated (thinks Creed, but if they were Canadian), so Kudo’s to Connor for standing by is ‘taste’ in music.

Not a lot of people admit they like Nickelback in private settings. To do it publicly on national TV takes balls.

Connor McDavid. BIIIIG NIckelback guy.

Congrats to all the Juno Winners, including John Dore, for Comedy Album of the year. His sisters’ tweets won the Juno’s, IMO.

I’m not down on the Junos. It’s the CFL of the Grammy’s, and even if I did know the Juno’s were on, The Leafs and the Mandalorian (ep2) took precedence last night. There’s only so much time during the day, and I have multiple streaming services.

I’m proud of Canadian Music, arts, and entertainment. Fugazi Award shows about the Canadian entertainment industry – Not so much.
