  1. I LOVE watching wild animals take out their frustrations on their abusers

  2. Russian lion trainers are tough

  3. Russian circus goers love a good mauling

Source: A video shows the moment a lioness attacked her trainer during a live circus performance in Russia on Saturday, prompting horrified audience members to evacuate the venue.

The trainer, identified as Maxim Orlov, survived the attack but had to be rushed to hospital after suffering from injuries to his legs and arms.

The attack, which occurred in the Novosibirsk region, happened after the lioness, called Vega, started scrapping with another lioness during the performance.

Russia is one of a handful of countries that allow live animals to be used in circus performances as the practice has generally been banned worldwide.  Now you know why.

Russians are a different breed though.  It’s legal to own wild animals in Russia where you’ll commonly see bears being treated as pets and mauling is common.

Cute until one of these things gets sick of their owner’s shit.

Half of the world’s bear attacks happen in Russia and most of those attacks are from bears kept in captivity or as pets.

In 2018 a bear being held captive at a local Russian bar ripped a drunk woman’s arm off and ate it after she started poking the bear in a cage (that’s him having a post maul drink).

The higher on the food chain the animal, the farther we should stay away from them.
