Bayern has important Champions League Games on the schedule, and of course, Davies will be a prominent player representing Canada at the World Cup in Qatar.
One year ago, a lot of people thought the ball had gone out of play.
Not Alphonso Davies, who burst down the BMO Field pitch with speed before creating one of Canada’s most iconic sports moments.
Now, the #CanMNT kicks off at the World Cup in 41 days.

Head injuries can be tricky to treat, and everybody is different. Some guys can return in a week; others are out for months. It’s essential that teams take head injuries seriously, so that left a lot of soccer fans wondering what was next for Davies.
Bayern later confirmed that Davies had not suffered a concussion and was dealing with a cranium contusion later last weekend. Davies sat out Bayern’s CL game on Wednesday. But, to everybody’s delight, Phonsie returned to the pitch Sunday in Bayern’s 5-0 win over SC Freiburg.
A top speed of 36.00 km/h 🌪️

Seeing Davies back on the field was a breath of fresh air. If Canada wants any chance to get out of the group stages in November, Davies needs to be on the field.
