On April 24th I wrote, Vladimir Guerrero Jr is tired of riding the bus. He’s tired of hitting mammoth home runs in front of 600 people. He’s tired of facing inconsistent pitching, he’d rather rake against the best of the best. He followed his Pops around throughout the major leagues for over a decade and built a dream, it’s time the kid gets a chance to live it. According to one of the best in the business, it appears next Friday seems likely:

Having Vladdy Jr in the everyday lineup makes the Toronto Blue Jays a legitimate contender for the second wildcard spot. It’s been displayed early on this season that consistent hitting is going to be the team’s end all. Marcus Stroman and Aaron Sanchez have proved they are healthy and ready, willing and able to carry the arms. Vladdy is capable of carrying the bats. Sure, 40 solo home runs don’t really do the team any good, but with the threat of a perennial MVP candidate lingering in the lineup, it gives the team an element they sorely missed.

Enough with the ‘be patient’ argument. The first night he hits two bombs you will be the first person to question why he wasn’t called up earlier. Vladdy’s ready, make sure your popcorn is too.
