Watch Here: Mitch Marner Was Unbelievable As The Maple Leafs Blank The Pens

Nov 4, 2018

Mitch Marner decided when he arrived at the rink Saturday night, that he was going to take over the evening.

He accomplished exactly that.

Marner was a force for the Maple Leafs with his patience, his vision, and his ability to draw all the eyes to him. We also have to point out the fact he’s becoming increasing defensively sound and his takeaway numbers are skyrocketing up the charts in the league.

Freddie Anderson was solid for the Buds as the ‘ Maple Danish’ stopped all 31 shots he faced. Morgan Rielly had two goals as the Leafs. The Western Canadian D-Man looked like the same player who came out of the gates in October like Bobby Orr 2.0.

John Tavares had a nice bounce-back game and got things started on the score sheet for the Maple Leafs with a tip on a Marner shot. The Leafs continue to be dominant on the road this year and have no issues lighting the lamp during their travels. A totally different story from life at home this season and look for them to try and carry on this momentum Tuesday in Toronto vs Vegas.

Here’s everything you missed from Saturday night in the ‘Burgh:
