As anti-trans/2slgbtqi+ hate rallies were taking place just outside of the House of Commons and across the whole country, NDP MP Randall Garrison rose during Question Period to remind everyone that, back in June of this year, Pierre Poilievre’s Conservative Party of Canada voted against a NDP motion “calling on all Canadian leaders to condemn this rising tide of hate and violence.”
He asked the Liberal party if they would support the NDP motion when it comes back to the House. You can watch him ask his question and the reaction from the Liberals AND Conservatives here:
“Will they join us in demonstrating that Canada is truly a country where there’s no space for hate.”
So, as NDP, Liberals and I assumed Greens were united, along with some Bloc MPs, Pierre Poilievre’s Conservative Party sat in silence.
Journalist Dale Smith was tweeting live from the House of Commons:
Garrison asks the government to condemn the anti-trans demonstrations. Liberals and NDP stand up to clap. Some Bloc MPs clap while seated. No Conservatives clap. #QP #canqueer

Pierre can’t condemn their hate. These are HIS people.
THIS is not the face of the #MillionMarchCanada hate rallies:
This is:
Pierre knows his base.
