Watch Sammy Hagar Jamming With Jerry Cantrell In Cabo!

Van Halen singer Sammy Hagar recently celebrated his 72nd birthday (October 9) at his Cabo Wabo Cantina in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico and had Alice In Chains’ Jerry Cantrell as a special guest for the festivities. A bunch of videos were posted online courtesy YouTube user “The Attitude”!

Hagar’s been ripping it up there for his birthday for the last 30 years. As you might imagine, it’s gotten bigger year after year – with this year’s birthday available to 2,000 lucky concert goers. The event was filmed for “Red Til I’m Dead”, a combination concert film and backstage documentary.

Hagar told the Mercury News, “We had 100,000 people in the lottery [in 2017]. Fans trek from all over the world. Every year, the biggest fans make it there from Japan, from Australia, from all over Europe.”

Meanwhile, Sammy Hagar & The Circle, his band w/ Van Halen bassist/bandmate Michael Anthony, drummer Jason Bonham and longtime Hagar guitarist Vic Johnson just wrapped up touring their debut studio LP, “Space Between”.

Have you ever been to Hagar’s bar in Cabo San Lucas? Who did you see performing?

72 years old and still absolutely killin’ it. Cheers to you, Sammy!
