WATCH SHIA LABEOUF PLAY THE ROLE OF HIS OWN FATHER IN THE TRAILER FOR ‘HONEY BOY’!

OK, this could be an interesting movie. Honey Boy stars Shia LaBeouf … as a character based on his own real-life father.
The movie was written by LaBeouf and directed by Alma Har’el. Honey Boy is a semi-autobiographical film inspired by LaBeouf’s life.
Noah Jupe and Lucas Hedges also star.
Interestingly, LaBeouf wrote the script as part of a rehabilitation program. He said he wrote it to take on “the therapeutic challenge of playing a version of his own father, an ex-rodeo clown and a felon”. Apparently the relationship has been reconciled.
“It felt very selfish. This whole thing felt very selfish. I never went into this thinking, ‘Oh, I am going to fucking help people.’ That wasn’t my goal. I was falling apart.”
While Honey Boy made its premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in January, it won’t be in theatres til November 8.
What did you think of the trailer? Too far out there? Not far enough?
