So, many of you have already seen the video of Prime Minister Trudeau discussing the right of anti-LGBTQ2S+ sentiment by Mulsim Canadians.

In it, he says they’re being influenced by the far right from the United States.
Of course, yellow rags Sun and National Post had to clutch all their pearls over him saying such a thing, twisting this into Trudeau ‘dividing’ Canadians.
So Trudeau did say that, and he’s right, but he also said that standing up for peoples’ rights in Canada means standing up for EVERYONE’S rights.
That includes those Muslims, Christians or people who believe in any faith AND those of the LGBTQS2+ community.
That is the opposite of trying to “divide” Canadians.
If you don’t think that the Prime Minister was correct in his assessment, I’d like to draw your attention to this tweet by MSNBC host Mehdi Hasan on July 3rd:
To some of my fellow Muslims with short memories who have been recently attracted to the GOP or Fox (!) over the issue of Pride marches or gender issues or school opt outs, a reminder of how the core of the modern GOP really thinks of, and talks about, you/us: pic.twitter.com/rRk1px13vA

Sounds like something that any Canadian reporter or politician could have posted.
The Internet’s Viva Frei had this to say:
Wow… pathological gaslighting from @JustinTrudeau yet again. This is nauseating to watch.
He strawmans the man’s objection to [gender] ideology being taught to kids [in school]. He tells this Muslim family that indoctrination of children is not happening… That this man is the… https://t.co/xeyvNikbF0

I don’t know who this Mocha Bezirgan person is, but apparently Trudeau listening to the concerns of those parents and directly answering their questions is somehow him “dismissing Muslim Parents’ worries.” – Then Viva says it’s Trudeau who’s doing the gaslighting.
Un-fucking-believable. I mean. Did we even watch the same video?
Ed The Sock hit the nail on the head with this response:
Making kids aware of the range of genders is not indoctrinating them. It's educating them. Indoctrination involves limiting knowledge, not expanding it.

Do you all remember this bigot from last month?
From the Post Millennial, June 09:
A Muslim mother and her son describe why they joined the Education Over Indoctrination protest in Ottawa
Footage by @BethBaisch pic.twitter.com/0w9F3Ocgq5
— The Post Millennial (@TPostMillennial) June 9, 2023
The video ends with Post Millennial giving that woman’s child a platform to spread the hate he learned from dear old mom.
Well, also on June 09 Frei tweeted this out:
Once upon a time, it was frowned upon for strangers to talk to other people’s children unsolicited. Especially about matters pertaining to sexuality.@SeamusORegan why are you talking about matters of sexuality to other people’s children? https://t.co/Cak9xXPva6
— Viva Frei (@thevivafrei) June 9, 2023
If you look at the Post Millennial’s video, who do you see in the background giving a platform for that woman’s children to spread hate and talk about sexuality? Well, it’s none other than The Internet’s Viva Frei!
I didn’t see any clips of that part of Frie’s livestream posted to his youtube channel or Twitter, and I’m not going to try to find the full vid and post it here.
So I can only assume that Mr. Frei got permission to discuss issues of gender and sexuality from the mother before interviewing her children. Surely.
In the clip Trudeau addressed the Conservatives past when it came to attacking Muslims/Islam.
Here’s a clip of former Conservative Party of Canada leader, Andrew Scheer, appearing on Faith Goldy’s show on Rebel Media to discuss M-103 (This was just a few months before Goldy marched with Nazis in Charlottesville and captured the murder of Heather Heyer on livestream):
Source: Rebel Media
“And the third reason is it doesn’t really define what Islamaphobia is. Um, is that simply just discriminating against someone because they are of the Muslim faith? That’s something I agree we should condemn.
But is it going to also target legitimate criticism of aspects of radical Islam fundamentalist Islam? Ah, that should be criticized. Just as any kind of faith is used to justify terrible acts.”
There was Scheer and Goldy feigning concern about losing “free speech” but what they REALLY meant was they were worried about not being able to spread HATE SPEECH. Period.
So the Christian Right have gone from attacking Muslims / people of Islamic faith (Remember all of those “Religion of Peace?” memes they all used to share?) to standing beside them to attack the LGBT2Q+ community.
The counterprotestors look vastly outnumbered here as concerned parents demonstrate in Calgary against gender ideology being taught in schools. https://t.co/YptQAzP6j1

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: Hate sure makes for some strange bedfellows.
