Does This Look Like A Woman Who’d Use The Old “Wind Musta Blown That Coke Into My Purse” Routine?

Ever wonder how things show up in certain places? You know when you are looking through a bag, wallet or old purse, and stumble upon a missing note, keys or better yet – money!

Never though, can I say that I have found these things due to high winds carrying them to my belongings. Maybe the weather around me doesn’t have that particular crusty, I mean “gusty” nature?  Hmmm…

Source: Authorities say a Florida woman is blaming a windy day for the cocaine that police found in her purse.

WPLG reported Kennecia Posey was one of two passengers in a car stopped by Fort Pierce police in late March. Police say an officer smelled marijuana and that, after searching the car, cocaine and marijuana in separate bags were found inside a purse Posey had on her lap.

Authorities say they questioned Posey about the drugs. According to the police report, Posey responded: “It’s a windy day. It must have flown through the window and into my purse.”

Not shocked that this story comes from Florida (all the best ones do) and also not jaw-dropping that such a tall tale was made when police found a woman with cocaine in her possession.   The nerve!  Assuming it was hers and then judging by her sketchy tale- she may even have planned to use it. Of course, appalled – the woman claimed it was due to “high” winds and that it must have flown into her purse.

Honestly – a lot of faith can be restored in humanity for the clever excuses made up in times of peril.  To say it is one thing.  To believe it is another.

What a way to blow!
