“Writer” Steve Simmons Uses Humboldt Tragedy To Shit On Marc Savard’s Mental Illness.

Oh, Steve. When will you put your evening Gin(s) down and write with a smidgen of compassion and use facts?
Not only does Stink Ass Steve improperly use an ellipsis when writing his garbage, but he also likes to use the death of 15 beautiful boys in the worst sports accident in Canadian history. Only by way to shit on Marc Savard dealing with CTE and subsequent illness because Marc never called him back for one of Steve’s twisted shitty articles. See below:
Source – The population of Humboldt is 5,869. The Broncos are 10-time Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League champions. The most famous Humboldt citizen: Hall of Fame goaltender and famous barn painter, Glenn Hall. Also born in Humboldt: The late NHL forward Ross Lonsberry and Olympic speed skater, Jeremy Wotherspoon. Among the NHL players who have played for the Broncos: Curt Giles and Terry Ruskowski … When the Maple Leafs lost in overtime to Washington to be eliminated in the playoffs last May, their defence included Matt Hunwick, Martin Marincin and Connor Carrick. Their defence this playoff season to start will include Ron Hainsey, Nikita Zaitsev and Travis Dermott, which should represent a rather significant upgrade … Not only did Hainsey lead the NHL in shorthanded time played this season, he spent almost an hour more killing penalties than any other player in the league. Zdeno Chara of Boston was second behind Hainsey … Marc Savard basically disappeared when his career ended in Boston. Media called. Nobody answered. Now suddenly Savard is a media guy. My advice: If he calls, don’t answer … If Erik Karlsson bent over to pick up a puck in his last home game in Ottawa, it can only mean one thing: He doesn’t believe he’ll play again for the Senators.
A friend of mine texted me this morning who’s very close to the Bruins Organization and knew Marc Savard’s living history of illness and concussions. “No one in the NHL or with the Bruins Org has any respect for Steve. He Always takes his shots and buries them in the story because he’s a passive-aggressive coward.” His explanation of how Marc Savard has lived should shed some light on the insensitive, irresponsible stupidity of Canada’s most redundant human.
That’s it, Stevie. You are Butthurt you didn’t get a call back for one of your shitty, inflammatory stories, so you ether him by telling people not to call him back if he wants to share his story about his journey with mental illness?
Hot move even for you.
Steve works for Bell, and I would assume their “Let’s talk campaign” doesn’t have some caveat that says “unless you didn’t return Steve Simmons phone calls.”
Not the first time Steve has used death to grandstand on the backs of the deceased.
Several years ago an Oiler Prospect jumped off a bridge in Latvia when he was drunk. At the time we didn’t know he had died. In fact, no one did except Steve who used his death to shit on me for suggesting he’d instead go swimming in a cold river than play in Edmonton. It was an Edmonton joke. Not a death joke. Unless you, of course, are Steve Simmons who sees tragedy as an opportunity to level a personal hurt at people who’ve slighted him in the past.
“What a stupid man (Dean Blundell) is. The death of a young man, Kristians Pelss, is no one’s comedy. #idiot.”
Blundell responded: “Always accountable unlike you. Write more self-promoting garbage and coach kids hockey you dipstick.”
Simmons fired back: “@ItsDeanBlundell Oh, f*ck off you backstabber who’s never faced an accuser in your life. Anyone who makes fun of a kid’s death is f*cked.”
So Steve, whats worse. Making fun of someone swimming or you deciding they are already dead because it opens the door to your disgusting soul to use death to drive home your selfish tweet for more readers?
A few days later we learned he had passed And I felt awful. Sent letters to the Oilers and made several apologies that were sincere and warranted.
Steve just erased the tweets and made up a story about Phil Kessel putting Hot Dogs in blenders every day.
Fast forward to present day.
… Marc Savard basically disappeared when his career ended in Boston. Media called. Nobody answered. Now suddenly Savard is a media guy. My advice: If he calls, don’t answer …
That’s it, Steve. Don’t call someone back who’s dealt with Illness to the point where he can’t move, can’t find his car and can’t be a father, husband or human like you. Nice to see your soapbox is built on a foundation of ego that you use to hide your shitty self-esteem.
Meanwhile “Bell Let’s Talk Unless Your Marc Savard” Should be interesting this year.
I feel sorry for Steve. Must be terrible to live like Steve. Feel like Steve. It would be even worse to wake up one morning to realize you are Steve. Unless you wake up and your names Bruce Arthur. That’s a close second.
Don’t be a Steve.
And buy some fucking chapstick for God’s sake.
