You Don’t Get To Decide If Ron MacLean’s Apology Is Good Enough

— Ron MacLean (@RonMacLeanHTH) May 26, 2021
Mac seemed to take the apology poorly.
Tough crowd.
Ron did his apology right. He addressed the issue, explained himself to give context to anyone who didn’t watch the show and still wanted his head. He apologized and reinforced his support for the LGBTQ community.
Whether you buy it or not doesn’t matter. Ron has a 40+ year history of not insulting the gay community or marginalizing people or groups and after Don’s firing, I highly doubt what Twitter thinks will start a revolution to change Sportnet’s mind either so settle down, dimwits.
Good for them. Supporting common sense is a decent thing to do. Employers and employees in media should be given the opportunity to deal with an issue by setting the tone to move past it responsibly instead of dealing with it to appease the fucking losers on Twitter.
I’ve got some tough news for you guys looking for some kind of job loss, here: you don’t get to decide when an apology is good enough. I know. It’s hard to believe, but it’s true.
