Coyotes’ Social Media Team Trolls their Own Fans

May 19, 2023

The Arizona Coyotes were handed a major setback in their hopes of staying in the Phoenix region this past week. Unfortunately, after a weeks-long attempts to go door to door telling residents in Tempe, plans for a new arena and entertainment district in the city were soundly defeated by a local referendum.

With the release of the results,  the “No” campaign captured 56 percent of the votes on Propositions 301, 302, and 303. All three were required to pass for the Coyotes to win the special election. But wait!!!! What’s this? Some good news finally falls into the laps of the long-suffering Arizona Coyotes fans?

No. No it didn’t. This may seem funny, but only if you aren’t a Coyotes fan. This is a slap in the face to their own die-hard fans who likely would have desperately clicked that link with hope, because it comes from the actual team account…..instead they find a Rick roll…..no, seriously, those still happen…..apparently.

Basically, this soap opera has become sad and pathetic. If the team and the fans were a married couple, this whole nightmare would be the equivalent of a couple who just split up but continue to live together. But everyone knows Mommy wants to leave Daddy, yet she can’t afford to live on her own. But it’s time to end the charade. Mommy needs to just pull out that age old breakup line……
