Today, during the House of Commons question period, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was asked to address the U.S. Department of Justice’s report on Russia funneling money through a Canadian company to pay far-right influencers.

The U.S. Justice Department’s indictment unsealed on Wednesday alleges a company matching the description of Tenet Media took Russian money to influence the U.S. presidential election.
Last week, Antony Blinken held a second press conference to announce that the U.S., U.K., and Canada are launching a campaign to address the threat posed by RT and “other machinery of Russian disinformation.”

Dean Blunell’s article on it:
During a press conference, Green Party leader Elizabeth May also addressed this issue two days ago.
Second round of foreign interference inquiry looks at whether Ottawa is able to protect elections
So, how did Pierre Poilievre and his CPC MPs react when LPC MP Mark Gerretsen asked Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to address this during today’s QP?
Watch:
“It’s extremely alarming that Russia is pushing its propaganda in our democracy. But even more appalling that they’re using far-right Canadian conservative influencers to divide Canadians. We must all stand against this. I call on all parties, including the Conservative Party of Canada, to stand up and investigate these allegations and follow up on it. Let it get through committee.” – Prime Minister Justin Trudeau
That’s right. They tried to drown out Mark Gerretsen, causing Speaker Fergus to intervene.
I mean, they heckle Liberals pretty much non-stop during QP, but the issue of Russia’s interference really seemed to get Pierre’s Con MPs worked up!
Later, during QP, Prime Minister Trudeau once again called out Pierre Poilievre for not obtaining the top-secret security clearance required to read the NSICOP report on foreign interference.

🚨WATCH: @JustinTrudeau calls out @PierrePoilievre for refusing top-secret security clearance.

Some responses:
I'm actually glad this POS doesn't have security clearance to be able to read any of our top security info. He's proven nothing to me other than he's meddling with foreign interference against Canadians. He's a damn traitor trying to damage Canada in exchange for Russian Rubles🧐

I agree. I don’t trust the guy.
But does Pierre really need top level clearance when Putin is keeping him updated? 🤷♀️

Good point.
@PierrePoilievre’s reasoning for not getting his clearance sounds like B.S. to anyone who thinks it through objectively.
He is not a political neophyte (it is actually the ONLY work experience he has) so he knew the deal.
It is part of the job.

Exactly. Especially since NDP leader Jagmeet Singh and GPC leader Elizabeth May got their clearance, read the NSICOP report, and held press conferences to discuss it.
BalconyGuy responded with this:
There's literally nothing he could say to defend that.

That’s exactly right, @BalconyGuy1.
Here is Pierre Poilievre’s next question after PMJT called him out:
“Hard pivot away from his security clearance, Mr. Speaker.” – Prime Minister Justin Trudeau
Well, for a guy who hasn’t shut his yap for twenty years, the PM calling him out on not getting top-secret security clearance left him speechless and flailing.
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again.
Pierre says reading the NSICOP report on foreign interference would put a muzzle on him. Prevent him from being able to talk (See: Lie) about it.
Sure. Fine.
Couldn’t he get the top-secret security clearance and still not read the report?
What’s stopping the leader of His Majesty’s Loyal Opposition from doing just that?
