Burying Joe Rogan Haters is Easy

Jason Gonsalves Jan 25, 2020

By now most of you have heard about the Joe Rogan/Bernie Sanders incident.  For those who haven’t, here’s a synopsis:

On his podcast The Joe Rogan Experience, Rogan stated,

“I think I’ll probably vote for Bernie… He’s been insanely consistent his entire life. He’s basically been saying the same thing, been for the same thing his whole life. And that in and of itself is a very powerful structure to operate from.”

Rogan has one of the most successful podcasts on the planet.  The Bernie Sanders campaign realizes this (Bernie has also been a guest on the show), and chose to endorse the pseudo-endorsement given by Rogan.  A lot of people listen to Rogan’s opinions.  Whether he’s aware of it or not, Rogan is viewed by his fans as a teacher, a freethinker.  It was a smart move on the part of Team Bernie.

The far left on Twitter, did what they do best and lost their underdeveloped minds about the endorsement of the endorsement.  Here are a few examples:

Let’s take a look at the facts.

In that last video Rogan specifically says “this is not denying people that are born gay.”  He’s merely putting forth a theory that molestation could effect someone who was not born gay to potentially be confused about their sexuality.  @GRYKING titled his tweet “The Origins of Being Gay by Joe Rogan” to mislead people into thinking that his idiotic interpretation of what Rogan said was what Joe was indeed saying.

“The Left cries, “JOE ROGAN IS A BIGOT!”

Joe Rogan is transphobic

Rogan invokes the science of biology.  There are physiological advantages to being born male in relation to testosterone, muscle density, etc.  He’s simply against women who used to be men competing in sports with women who were born women due to the unfair competitive advantage of the aforementioned physical benefits.  It’s unfair to biological women, who have worked hard to get to where they are individually, but also unfair to the growth of women’s sports in general.  I see no problem with trans-people having their own sports.

Rogan is anti-giving hormones to children.  This doesn’t make him transphobic.  He’s fine with the hormone treatment for adults.  Again this is a science-based opinion.

The Left:  JOE ROGAN IS TRANSPHOBIC!

42:42 for the joke about Bruce Jenner.

Again he doesn’t deny that there are trans-people.  Also, this is a comedian telling a joke.

Joe Rogan is a racist

The main argument for this is the failed Planet of the Apes joke Rogan tried to make while telling a story.

He’s a comedian and was trying to make a joke in real time about his experience going to see Planet of the Apes in a black neighbourhood.  It failed.  Many comedians push the envelope in attempting to make awkward or controversial topics humorous.  He immediately acknowledged that it was racist and not what he meant.  He then goes on to talk about how there isn’t enough black representation in film.  Not something a racist would advocate for.

Also, there are compilation videos of him saying the word “nigger.”

How did you just feel reading that word?  I bet it did something to you.

How about if I had written “the N word?”

Not the same efficacy right?

Rogan has said the word while telling stories of real situations, also in discussions of the meaning of the word, or the power of the word.  Within those contexts, it can be argued that more powerful points are made when we use the word in discussions about the word like adults.  Or must we speak as children pretending to have a real debate or discussion about the N word?  The compilation videos are out of context, smear campaign propaganda.

Joe Rogan interviews “Questionable Character”

JRE is an unbiased platform where Rogan permits his audience to listen to personalities from both ends of the political spectrum in order to make up their own minds.  If you only want to listen to people that substantiate your already held beliefs then listen to Maddow.  You’re just like the alt-right weirdos that you despise so much who only listen to Tucker Carlson.  Heed my warning, you will never learn anything this way.

The Radical Left is entirely against Free Speech.  They complain about people with opposing views to theirs getting a platform on JRE.  I listen to people I disagree with all of the time.  I listen to people who I think are absolutely mental (i.e. Trump).  It’s informative although not insightful, as well as entertaining.  The Extreme Left wants everyone who holds an opposing view silenced, though they pretend to be the “Social-Freedom” people.

A lot of this backlash from people who claim to be Bernie supporters but are defecting due to his “alliance” with Rogan is farcical.  Many of them are upset that Bernie just got a lot stronger as an opponent to their choice for the Democratic nominee.

To those of you whom are upset about all of this:

You losers should get a job.  If you have one, then get a hobby.  Stay off your phones.

Guns are good with strict gun control so that maniacs can’t acquire them.

Religion is personal and has no place in public policy.

Pro-choice is the only choice.  Gay marriage IS marriage.  Just because a man is attracted to other men doesn’t mean he doesn’t know what love is.

Trans people deserve to live with respect and dignity.  But children making life decisions as great as sex change might be something you want to pump the breaks on.  Maybe decisions like that should be available when their brains are fully-formed, or at least when you think they are cognoscente enough to vote, or get a tattoo.  Yes, there will be some collateral damage in relation to some trans persons having to live longer in the body that they don’t identify with.  I feel for those individuals.  However, we are talking about governing a society here.  There are some parent’s who would manipulate their children who aren’t actually transgendered, into a sex change to get the gender of the child that they actually wanted.  Don’t believe me?  I know someone personally who would have very likely fallen victim to this had it been available.

Racism is ignorant.  We have so much more in common than the pigment of our skin, the shape of our eyes, the texture of our hair, etc.  That doesn’t mean that we can’t make jokes about race.

In following US politics for years I’ve always been a fan of Bernie Sanders.  I’ve also always liked Elizabeth Warren.  I’m also impressed by Tulsi Gabbard, Pete Buttigieg, and Andrew Yang.  Realistically, any of those choices would be better than Joe Biden or Donald Trump.  If there’s one thing the Republicans do well it’s stick to the script.  That’s why they win.  The Democrats are always in-fighting, and virtue signalling.  That’s why Trump is going to get re-elected.  That and gerrymandering.  Also, Russian bots.
