Slash Ft Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators Absolutely CRUSH A Rocket Man Cover On The Howard Stern Show

Feb 10, 2022

Damn. How can you not love that. First of all I love when a band covers any songs and makes it their own, but an all time classic like Rocket Man with a little bit of a rock and roll twist sign me up.

Friends of the network Todd Kerns on bass and Brent Fitz on the skins absolutely kill their parts. Brent begins with a little piano in the back, because you know he’s not just a one trick pony folks. Todd standing there in the back all stoic and shit holding up those amps until it is his turn to lay down some smooth bass guitar, well done gentlemen. Todd and Brent also come to play with some powerful backup vocals that compliment Myles Kennedy.

Quick aside, I have had the great pleasure of virtually meeting and being on the same show as Todd and Brent on a few occasions. Todd is huge nerd and I got the pleasure of talking some Christmas movies with him the gang on Kids On The Escalator during their Christmas special. I even whipped out my lightsaber. I know, way to act really cool around the rock stars Rookie.

Brent was kind enough to lend us some of his time on our hockey playoff spinoff show ” The Playoff Pricks” during the playoffs last season because he is a MASSIVE Winnipeg Jets fan. Not only did Brent show up and stay for 50 minutes he walked us through some of the coolest toys and customized jerseys any guy could want. His man cave is unmatched.

Anyway, I’m done name dropping that I kind off, sort of, not really know two rock stars.( as the are probably reading this saying to themselves who the fuck is Rookie). Thanks for the intro Brenton and Machete and fellas if you are reading this more classic rock covers with your spin on them. I can’t get enough.
