About the Episode
On Tuesday, October 11, 1892, two men made a grisly discovery while digging a trench in the backyard of a home located in MacDonaldtown, Sydney, Australia. The town was horrified to learn that the remains of two infants had been discovered. However, shock and heartbreak would only grow as more babies were unearthed in various locations. John and Sarah Makin were the dirtbags guilty of taking advantage of young mothers in a practice known as baby farming. Join us as we go back in time to discuss a case widely referred to as the ‘Hatpin Murders’.
