About the Episode

Episode two of “The Breakdown” discusses “boygenius,” the first official studio release by boygenius back in 2018. Boygenius is Phoebe Bridgers, Lucy Dacus, and Julien Baker (with zero emphasis on the order); each well established and brilliant artists in their own right, they come together to make something gorgeously inexplicable. Despite the project being boygenius’s debut, the EP stuns and pushes the listener to reflect and find themselves within the music. With heartbreakingly emotive vocals and purposefully layered sonics, boygenius truly makes their mark as geniuses.
