At 12:00pm today the NFL’s legal tampering period opened up, and the New England Patriots made a splash, opened their wallets, and signed some big name free agents, while also addressing some major holes they had on their roster.

Bill Belichick, also known as Belicheap to many Patriots fans, spent $146 million in the first three hours he was allowed to sign free agents.

The Patriots opened the day signing former Tennessee Titans tight end Jonnu Smith, following up with run stuffing defensive tackle Davon Godchaux. Patriots fans already on cloud nine were treated to the signing of Baltimore Ravens former pass rush machine Matt Judon, and immediately after it was announced that New England had signed versatile secondary player Jalen Mills.

The Patriots weren’t done, they added Nelson Agholor, and Kendrick Bourne, not two of the bigger names, but huge upgrades to the Patriots current WR corps.
