The Gord Downie of it all
About the Episode
If you did a poll of my friends and family on who my favourite band is, they would probably say Oasis or Noel Gallagher but in reality I own more Tragically Hip albums and rarities than any other artist in my record collection. I’ve spent the last two weeks evaluating exactly what The Tragically Hip mean to me. The Canadiana and nostalgia of high school memories breaking several laws (including stealing a car) on the release day of Phantom Power. I also think I’m the only person in the nation who bears tickets scalpers no ill-will over the recent ticket debate, hear my explanation in this podcast.
All the ticket business aside.. Let’s not forget the reason that this tour is sold out. Terminal brain cancer. You can help the fight here: https://donate.sunnybrook.ca/braincancerresearch
