The Toronto Raptors kicked off their preseason Sunday against the Utah Jazz, and that means one thing; basketball’s finally back. 

On this episode of Ray’s Sports Rant I hosted Dean Blundell Network NBA blogger and podcaster Adam Armbrecht to discuss the Toronto Raptors. As always, Adam delivers in an entertaining, professional manner, and teaches us everything we need to know about basketball.

Adam and I start our conversation talking about the Raptors preseason game Sunday night against the Utah Jazz. I ask Adam to breakdown what Raptors fans should be watching during the preseason. Adam gets into some of the roster battles, and who we should really be paying attention to. It’s always important to know your enemy. Before Toronto can think about playoff runs and championships, they need to take care of the division. The Boston Celtics made a deal to sign Blake Griffin. Adam gives his take on how Griffin will impact the Celtics. 

In order for the Toronto Raptors to be successful this season all of their players need to be on point and their stars need to stay healthy. Fred VanVleet has missed 55 NBA games in the last three seasons. It will be important that he’s healthy going down the stretch and the postseason. Will Nick Nurse load-mange VanVleets time this season?
