WATCH: Pierre Poilievre has a rough week even as Canadian media ignores India’s meddling in CPC leadership race…until now

Jason Pugh Mar 15, 2024

Wow! It’s been a rough week for the Leader of His Majesty’s Loyal Opposition.

Last Friday, The Fifth Estate aired its episode about India murdering a Canadian citizen on Canadian soil and meddling in the Conservative Party of Canada’s leadership race.

You can read about that here:

Video: This Fifth Estate Doc About India Killing Canadians/Working With Conservative Party Of Canada To Steal Elections Is INSANE And Scary AF

Yesterday, Jaro Giesbrecht posted this video in which Poilievre says he’ll make cuts to all foreign aid, which would include Ukraine.

That video is from last Saturday, the day after The Fifth Estate exposed Poilievere as the fraudulent leader of the Official Opposition Party.

But, wow, having to go on the record stating that he’ll pull funding for Ukraine the day after that report aired. That’s rough for PP. And PP sure as hell looked pretty rough.

Thanks to Cynthia for clearing that up for me:

It seems as though #cdnmedia has completely forgotten about the story after last Friday’s episode of The Fifth Estate aired.

A lot of stories about PP seem to disappear from Canadian media.

Things like Pierre Poiliievre paying for the fake whistleblower’s legal fees. You remember the one that took out his rival in the CPC leadership race, Patrick Brown:

Today in “Imagine If It Had Been Trudeau!” (But will barely make a blip in Canadian Media)

They DID end up asking Pierre Poilievre about it. Once:

Oh, that’s it then? OK…nothing more to see here, folks. Move along!

I wrote more about that here:

WATCH: Reporters actually asked Pierre Poilievre about his cheating to win CPC leadership

Or the whole refusing to get his security clearance issue. Calling it a “trick and a trap” meant to silence him.

Let’s Investigate The Trudeau Foundation AND Poilievre’s Conflict Of Interests Because Transparency, Right??

Which led to this meltdown by CPC MP Michael Cooper:

Speaking of Chinese interference, Pierre Poilievre also stood in the House of Commons and admitted that, when he was Minister of Democratic Reforms, he knew about and did nothing to stop Chinese interference.

Video here:

BREAKING: Poilievre defends doing NOTHING about foreign interference b/c China wasn’t helping Cons!

Yesterday, Don Barlow reported that Pierre Poilievre had members of the media removed from his event after his speech:

Today, Pierre Poilievre was in Saint John, New Brunswick, giving his standard stump speech at another gas station.

He was looking rough and having a hard time reading his notes.

Watch:

I want to note here that Pierre Poilievre took five questions at the end, and not one of them was about India’s interference with the Conservative leadership race.

You can watch the full presser here:

Was he actually hungover or just worn out from keeping up the faux rage? I can’t say for sure. That was just an educated guess. We all remember that Pierre Poilievre, as leader of the Conservative Party of Canada, showed up looking/acting completely wasted the night of his marathon voting stunt:

Jump to the 1:15 mark to see him really lose it

Earlier that evening, while PP forced his MPs to work in the House of Commons, he hosted a fancy $1700/person fundraising event hobnobbing with Montreal elites. Then, he had someone order McDonald’s for him to bring to them.

Charles Adler posted about it:

I wrote more about it here:

Rebel Media’s arrested journalist and Pierre Poilievre’s selective outrage

So that marathon voting stunt (which cost almost $2 million, by the way) started with over TWENTY THOUSAND amendments submitted by Pierre Poilievre’s CPC. They thought they were going to be able to hold our government hostage and keep the House sitting and MPs voting “right through Christmas.”

Poilievre says Conservatives will table thousands of amendments to keep Parliament sitting over Christmas

“I’ve got news for Justin Trudeau,” Poilievre said in a morning address to the Conservative caucus. “You’ve ruined Christmas for Canadians. Common-sense Conservatives are going to ruin your vacation as well. We’re going to put in thousands of amendments at committee and in the House of Commons, forcing all-night, round-the-clock voting to block your $20 billion of inflationary spending and your economically destructive plans until you agree to our demand: take the tax off farmers, First Nations and families.”

That stunt was a complete failure. Liberals and NDP dealt with and voted away most of those amendments in about five minutes.

Personally, I think Poilievre was banking on that stunt to trigger a snap election. He cheated to win the leadership of the Conservative Party. He knew it would eventually come to light and wanted, or needed, to have an election before it did.

Now, it finally came out that India interfered in the Conservative Party of Canada’s leadership race. Yet after the story aired on The Fifth Estate, Canadian media has all but ignored it—until now!

Just as I was writing this post this happened on CBC’s Power and Politics:

“But there’s a really interesting thing at the end where it repeats allegations that the Conservative leadership had the involvement of Indian agents, in terms of buying memberships, to help tip the balance for one of the candidates.

And I find it remarkable that that documentary has been out for about a week, and after all the heat and fury around this subject last fall, no one’s talking about that this week.”

Host David Cochrane then moves the subject along, noting that the documentary has been banned in India. The discussion continues without further mention of what Greg brought up.

Paul put it perfectly:

Thank you, Greg MacEachern, for bringing the issue up and pointing out that nobody is talking about it.

It seems that Canadian media wants that story to *POOF* disappear like so many other stories about Pierre Poilievre.

Let’s not let that happen.
